Fictional Story: Jeremy Tucker's Testimony originally written 27 May 2014

Jeremy Tucker tells his testimony on how the Lord blessed him with a wife. Jeremy talks about his rough experiences with dating and how he finally patiently waited on God for his wife. A lot of Christians can talk about their testimony on how the Lord sent their spouse both fiction and non-fiction. It's something about when you pray and wait on God how he will send you what you are believing him for. He may not come when we want him to but one thing that we all can testify is he is right on time!

My name is Jeremy Tucker and I'm originally from Fort Wayne, IN. My story of how I found love was like a rocky roller coaster ride. I mean it looked like at times that I would never find true love. I have been in maybe 5 or 6 relationships and I can count how long they lasted because I was in and out of relationships so fast. In the 6 relationships I was in were a combined total of a month. It seemed like every relationship that I've been in lasted either 4 or 5 days or a week. I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and all I could think about was that old saying "I'm trying to find love in all of the wrong places." I remember when I was 24 at the time, I was going out with a woman who was 27 going on 28 and I remember me and her were talking about having children. I was single and never had children before and I thought that she was single and never had children either. Come to find out that this woman had 3 children with her husband and that her and her husband were still married but were separated. I not only broke off the relationship with her, I started to have self doubts about myself wondering if I would ever find true love. Most of the women that I've dated were either divorced or had boyfriends before they met me.

One day I decided to do a self evaluation. At 35 I was trying to figure out how someone like me could put myself in what seemed like a lot of predicaments the way that I did. Then it finally hit me. All of the women that I've dated, I was trying to fall in love with the different ones and it didn't work. It was almost like everything was arranged like in the movies (rehearsed like in kissing & wedding scenes). As a Christian I never thought that dating was wrong because when a youth pastor or pastor encourage dating then you don't find anything wrong with it because you're thinking that the youth pastor or pastor is telling you what is right because he or she is experienced in that area before they were married to their spouse. At 37 I will never forget falling on my knees and praying and asking the Lord for wisdom and for him to change my attitude and to change my heart and to help me be the husband that my wife is looking for in a husband. My life began to change when I decided to surrender and give everything to Jesus. Right after I finished praying, I could hear a voice say to me, "Jeremy I want you to go to Fort Worth, TX because your wife is there." I was hesitant at first because I'm in Fort Wayne and I'm thinking I would meet my wife in Indiana where I'm from. The Lord specifically told me to go to Fort Worth, TX because I will meet a beautiful golden blond hair and beautiful blue eyes woman at church there. I acted out of obedience to the Holy Spirit and packed up and left my state of Indiana and moved to Texas and met Nicole Harris. Me and Nicole got married at 39 and we have been married for 3 years now. We have a beautiful addition to the Tucker family (a baby girl) and her name is Jasmine Destiny Tucker. We have a cocker spaniel puppy too. God is so good! We all have a testimony about how the Lord has blessed us. Sometimes we have to go through things (like I did) in order for us to realize that the Lord will never let any of his children settle for 2nd best when has his absolute best for us. http://citysuburb.wix.com/pauls-writing-style/apps/blog/fictional-story-jeremy-tuckers-testimony

The Underdog Poem

There once was a lad who stood at 5 feet.
Who wasn't good at sports even at defeat.
He tried out for football and they told him he sucks.
He tried out for basketball and they told him he sucks.
He tried out for baseball and they told him he really sucks.
He tried out for dodge ball and they told him learn how to duck.
Thus being known as the underdog,
Often wondering what could he do,
Never being able to have speed, skills, or talent and always getting booed.
Maybe he can show everyone that he is good at something.
And not caring about people thinking he is a big nothing.
He tried out for every sport that anyone can possibly do.
Never being successful and looking like a failure, too.
Often getting water for the ball players,
Almost every night praying,
That God would give him the skills,
Being good at something and being called the real deal.
Wondering if maybe if he was taller,
He would have great skills like a baller.
The crowd would cheer for him as they call his name.
That way his name would change.
From underdog to top dog with mad skills.
Everybody chanting his name while he is on the court.
Knocking down jumpers and hitting trey's.
Getting props and being called MVP.
Thinking about that while he is asleep.
Only to realize that when he wakes up he will be surprised,
To learn all of that was just a dream.
A dream he hope may one day come true.
To be a part of a team and be happy too.
That all of those years that name he was called.
Everyone would put to rest the name underdog.

Fictional Story: Mistaken Identity

Associated Bank Milwaukee, WI

Bank of America Baltimore, MD

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Chicago, IL

The National Bank of Indianapolis Indianapolis, IN

For many years, 25 years to be exact, Frederick Baker was locked up in jail for a crime he didn't commit. It happened in Indianapolis, IN where a man have robbed banks in Chicago, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Indiana and every time the man got away successfully. Frederick Baker appeared in court and it appeared that he was linked to the bank robbery crimes that had over $35,000 missing at the Chicago bank, $45,000 missing at the Wisconsin bank, $15,000 missing at the Maryland bank, and $50,000 missing at the Indiana bank. Something didn't add up, Frederick Baker was in jail for all of those robberies and assault with a deadly weapon but how can a man be in Chicago, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Indiana like that unless there was an accomplice or accomplice's with him during those crimes? Freddie Baker probably know a lot more to this story that maybe he is not telling. The detectives in Indianapolis decided to do an investigation. They checked Frederick Baker's records and learned that for 25 years he was in jail for a crime he never committed.
Evidently, this guy who they found out that did those crimes used an Alias name Frederick Baker and his real name is Alan Rodriquez. Alan Rodriguez has a history of crime sprees. He doesn't drink but he smokes weed, he smokes joints, and he gets high on cocaine. Rodriguez started stealing when he was 17 years old and met up with some friends who were a bad influence on him. Their names are Paco, Eddie, Ricky, and Ryan. Rodriguez and his boys always came packing with guns, knives, and crowbars whenever they would come to the rough cities of Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, and Wisconsin. Rodriguez is quiet but when he is around friends he can become very temperamental and he has a violent streak. He has been arrested for domestic violence for beating up his ex-girlfriend Jessica Rivera. Jessica put out a restraining order against Alan, so if he set foot on her property then the cops would arrest him and take him to jail.
The detectives learned that the real Frederick Baker was a hardworking man, who supported his wife Christine Baker, and their 4 kids, Frederick Baker, Jr., Melissa Baker, Trisha Baker, and Christopher Baker. Freddie Baker was released from criminal charges and a felony murder that Alan Rodriguez AKA Alias Frederick Baker committed when he shot and killed a bank teller at the Maryland bank. Rodriguez boys tried fleeing to Mexico until the cops followed them to Mexico on a car chase and arrested them and took them back to Indiana.
Frederick Baker will never forget how rough it was spending time in prison and being locked up in a jail cell. His wife and his 4 kids will never forget that ordeal, either. Frederick's kids are all grown up and it was unfortunate for them to see their own father in jail when he was innocent. Sometimes the law can screw up but they really made a big mistake when they thought that Frederick Baker would do such a thing. Frederick Baker have never been arrested or went to jail, he never drank or did drugs, and he didn't have a violent streak at all, his wife referred to him as someone "who would never hurt a fly." Freddie Baker's identity was mistaken for a big time criminal Alan Rodriguez. Rodriguez and his boys will be locked up behind bars for life and will experience the same pain that Baker had to endure.

Black Trump Supporter ASSAULTED by Feminist Obama-Supporter While Speaki...

To all those who are Black or African American listen to what this black man is saying there is 100% truth to it. The only way that a lot of Blacks or African Americans are going to be happy is when they learn to forgive the people who they felt did them wrong. The liberal media is not on your side, they are not looking out for your best interest, and their ultimate pleasure for them is to continue to push the race card to where you will never think you will be free from bondage. When you hear the term "Tax cuts for the rich and wealthy and raising taxes on the middle class" you hear that a lot from the Democrats accusing the Republicans of doing. The Democrats are guilty of  "tax cuts for the rich and wealthy and raising taxes on the middle class"not the Republicans. The Republicans are for  "tax cuts for everyone." When slavery was abolished it was the Republicans both blacks & whites that worked to together to help abolish slavery. The only people who want to talk about slavery and play the race card are the Democrats because they were for slavery and they were for segregation.

I was brainwashed hearing about slavery and segregation when I was in high school and in college for 3 or 4 years. I think by the time that I was in my late 20's I realized that you have no control over ignorance that happened but you can take the high road by not acting ignorant yourself.  The Liberal media and the Democrats work together to try to convince us that what is false is what is true and that what is wrong is what is right. There are a lot of blacks that are prejudiced towards their own race and that is the big reason why there is a lot of black on black crime. The liberal media only want to focus on the police officers shooting the unarmed but not all that are unarmed are innocent. I'm not saying that all police officers are good because there are a lot of crooked police officers but the liberal media want you to focus on thinking it's hate only on one particular race and that's not true. Former President Obama have divided this nation with his Anti-America attitude. Chicago, IL where there were so many homicides, former Senator Obama didn't go back to Chicago to address the gang violence and when President Obama left office Obama and his family moved to Washington DC I believe about 4 miles from the White House. No other President has ever done what Obama has done. Democrats and the Liberal media want Blacks or African Americans to depend on free stuff like food stamps, cellphones, etc., and never work for anything. Anybody that don't want to see you be successful is not looking out for your best interest, they are only trying to manipulate you and prove the race card and I feel that is why there is black history month.

Feeling sorry for yourself and expecting other people to feel sorry for you is not how you get ahead. Getting ahead is being thankful that there are "angels on your side when you got some devils trying to hold you back." I heard Pastor Jesse Lee Peterson on Frances & Friends this morning on SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN) at 10AM and he was spot on about how blacks need to forgive in order for things to be better.

The Cafeteria Lady Poem

There was once a cafeteria lady who cooked for everyone.
Preparing and fixing food for all the students even her son.
She was a hard worker and had a smile on her face.
Always hooked everyone up with extra fries everyday.
She is a single mom who didn't mind seeing others happy.
She recalls when she was a student in the cafeteria being served lunch,
It was her senior year of high school when she had given birth to her son.
She remembers all the things that her mother have done for her.
Passing it on and doing for her son.
The cafeteria lady working 5 days a week,
Sneaking and baking desserts only the students got to eat.
The cafeteria lady enjoyed doing for others.
No matter how little she got paid for it,
She felt that it was worth seeing a smile on everyone's face.
Her son is a mama's boy and is proud to say,
'Cause she spoils him everyday.
She has been raising him mainly by herself for 21 long years,
Without a father figure in his life having her in tears.
The cafeteria lady wears her uniform with honor.
She is always at work an hour early,
And is last to leave the cafeteria an hour later.
The cafeteria lady always speaks to everyone.
With a beautiful smile on her face,
That helps brighten up everyone else's day.
The cafeteria lady is thought of as an inspiration.
'Cause she helps people with their problems.
The students are always glad to get her home cooked meals,
'Cause the cafeteria lady sometimes pays the bill,
Her son has been popular at making friends at school.
'Cause they all think that his mom the cafeteria lady is really cool.

"Deer caught in the headlights" hearing

FBI Director James Comey got the "deer caught in the headlights" look & it's evident that he is lying.

I had a chance to watch some of FBI James Comey taking some serious questions at his hearing. Comey had that look of someone who was afraid and who wanted the hearing to end. Comey did a terrible job with the Hillary Clinton email scandal. Comey's words back in July 2016 I do believe were, "Clinton was reckless with her emails putting the US security at risk with emails that she sent that were classified but I don't think that there should be any charges against Clinton."

Bill Clinton & then Attorney General Loretta Lynch had a conversation on the plane about getting Bill Clinton's wife off after she was being subpoena.

Then Comey against the wishes of his boss then Attorney General Loretta Lynch wrote a letter to Congress to reopen the case of Hillary Clinton email scandal to related emails that were classified to the 33,000 emails that were bleached, deleted, and destroyed to try to make that wrong right a week before the 2016 US Presidential election. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/29/us/politics/fbi-hillary-clinton-email.html Then Comey again decided to not charge Clinton again. This was like a boy crying wolf. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUbtbjJaVnI For example, people will believe you when you are stating the obvious facts but when you contradict yourself people can sense when you are lying from the get go and they are not likely to believe you. The boy who cried wolf was believable because people really believed that there was a wolf but after lying 2 times they didn't believe him when he cried wolf when there really was a wolf. When Comey cried wolf the Democrats believed him but after 2 times the Democrats believed that Comey is lying. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/07/us/politics/hilary-clinton-male-voters-donald-trump.html

Comey cannot be trusted because he is trying to play up to the Democrats by trying to discredit President Trump. For example, you're going to believe this far-fetched story that Russia is behind President Trump winning the electoral college in a landslide 306-232 over Secretary Clinton in November 8, 2016 US Presidential Election and have absolutely zero proof but Comey want to dismiss President Trump's tweets about former President Obama ordering a wiretap to bug then Candidate Trump Trump Towers in New York City. I'm likely to believe a wiretapping story over outside influence from another country trying to influence the voters in a US Presidential election. They may not have the proof that Obama ordered a wiretap to bug Trump Towers but it's more believable because of the mudslinging that Obama took part in assisting Secretary Clinton in trying to discredit then candidate Trump when Obama said that Trump would never be the US President. Democrats will go real low especially the majority are Democrats in the US Intelligence Agencies (17 to be exact). Democrats it's time to move on. You didn't win and I know it really hurt y'all how badly y'all lost but get over it! We don't trust Comey and Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Russia have nothing to do with the outcome of the November 8, 2016 US Election.

God saved an Alcoholic Poem

There was once a man who was an alcoholic.
He lost his job and started drinking.
This man have went through the best of times,
And the worst of times to where he was broke and didn't have a dime.
For most of his life he dranked to drown his sorrows,
'Cause all he knew to do was depend on the bottle.
His parents were on drugs and drinking alcohol,
So they were the major part of his down fall.
He never really had true friends that told him what was right.
So he grew up on the streets where he learned how to fight.
The alcohol was his drinking habit.
God showed him that he loved him despite his sin.
The alcoholic began to fall on his knees and pray,
Asking God to save him so he could live for him everyday.
The alcoholic began trusting in God,
He prayed that he would bless him with a job.
God heard his prayer and with his amazing grace,
The former alcoholic started working again.
The former alcoholic decided to change his ways.
'Cause the drinking and the fighting is what had led him astray.
He decided to go on the street corners witnessing to people,
Most of them were looking at him like he was crazy.
The former alcoholic endured being ridiculed and laughed at,
'Cause he remember doing the same thing to people who tried to witness to him.
God loved the former alcoholic and blessed him with that gift.
To him it didn't matter how badly he got dissed.
The former alcoholic felt that it's better to be free from such an addiction,
To where he can talk to people without feeling convicted.
Alcohol was his life,
And he was saved to where the devil couldn't cause anymore strife.
The former alcoholic never stopped witnessing to people.
Everyone on the street corners saw a change in him.
Little by little they believed that God would do the same thing for them.
The former alcoholic began to lead people to the Lord.
By simply reading John 3:16 in God's word.

The Joy of Writing

No matter what you write let whatever you write come from the heart.

Whenever a thought come into my mind I feel lead to write it out on paper. I consider writing to be a really cool hobby that I really love doing. I understand how writing can be a lot of work because a lot go into writing. Whether I'm thinking of scenarios, plot, setting, time, climax, characters, etc, in fictional stories or coming up with a short or long poem and whether that particular poem or poems rhyme or not. When a writer write from the heart he or she never really get stressed out about editing that they have to do when they write. Editing is all a part of writing. In my honest opinion whenever I write sometimes I have to do a whole lot of editing because there are always errors that need to be fixed in writing & blogging. If every blog that I wrote never needed to be edited then writing would be a waste of time for me. For us who enjoy blogging and writing know that there will be those days when writing a story whether it's fiction or non-fiction when writing that particular story or stories will be easy and there are days when writing that particular story or stories will not be so easy.

I want to encourage those who love to write or blog to write from the heart. It does not matter if it is a fictional story, non-fictional story, or a poem, you want to grab the reader's attention by writing a story that relates to others from your point of view. A lot of stories that the writers or bloggers write tend to relate to those who a reading the stories or poems. For those out there who are travel writers or travel bloggers grabbing your readers attention is what you want to focus on especially for those who is not into traveling and the same applies to do who attend events. It's important to be yourself no matter what you do. We want to learn from others and it's okay to voice your opinion if you agree or disagree with a writer or a blogger but we have to be respectful. To those who always have things to say, "If you can't say anything nice about someone then don't say anything at all." This saying applies to all of the writers and bloggers out there, "If you can't write anything nice about someone then don't write anything at all."

God Saved a Hoodlum Poem

There was once a hoodlum,
Who lived the thug life on the streets.
He did drugs like cocaine and smoking weed.
He never knew it but he had a calling on his life.
God would save him from gunshots, stabbings, and strife.
The hoodlum survived car crashes.
He's been in and out of the worst prison systems.
He stole, hustled, and ran from the law.
His mom was in tears and every night praying.
'Cause she remember how good he used to be before he started straying.
Although he caused her so much trouble,
His mom always loved him because she saw potential.
He had so much talent and grew up in the church.
Could read the Bible and knew the word.
God had a big plan for his life that he never knew,
He can fall on his knees and pray to God and know the truth.
That God understands his pain,
All he had to do is invite him into his life,
And he will never be the same.
The hoodlum began to cry out to God for help.
Realizing that serving Jesus is better than going to hell.
The hoodlum began to repeat the sinner's prayer.
God forgives him and he let him into his life.
The thug life is no more,
He began to see what God had in store.
The blessing that came the ex-hoodlum's way,
When he decided to live for Jesus everyday.
God gave him a vision to preach.
And the gift to teach,
To all inner city youths that were hard-headed like him,
How God saved him and he will do the same for them.
If there were any doubts he don't answer prayer,
Take a good look at the ex- hoodlum he used to be a big time strayer.
The former hoodlum had everyone bawling,
Because he stop running from his calling.
He saw what his mom was talking about.
That he had such a big heart for Jesus that made everyone shout.
The ex-hoodlum is an example of what God can do.
How he will save you and deliver you from bondage too

Spring is near Poem

For those who are from New England

Hit by snowstorms from early afternoons till late evenings

Often reminded of the mild seasons that they've had

Most people were very glad

New England didn't always get dumped with a lot of snow

The snow that sometimes so high that covered some people's doors

No words could explain of the 2 years we had on mild seasons

Blue jays, red robins, and even cardinals chirping

'Cause of the mild winter

New England has had their moments when it was freezing cold

Where temperatures were below freezing and felt like winter

Reminding Yankees how the weather can change from day to day

From hot to cold to remind everyone that they need to have faith

Seasons are meant to be hot days and cold days

For Yankees they should never be surprised

Despite all of the unexpected changes in the weather it's the Lord who is keeping us alive

There is no need to worry or fear

'Cause we all know that Spring is near

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2002 Super Bowl XXXVII Champions!!!

I'm a faithful Bucs fan for 18 years now & I remember that team back in 2002 that won their first ever Super Bowl. I'm optimistic that the Bucs will win another Super Bowl.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers became a franchise in 1976 and didn't win a single game going 0-14 that season. They would carry a 12 game losing streak in the 1977 season where they would have a combined 0-26 record. Tampa Bay epitomized horrible, they were laughingstocks for many years, and went through losing seasons after losing seasons. The Bucs were victims to teams with winning records and teams with sub .500 records. The Bucs didn't make the playoffs until the late 90's when Tony Dungy was their head coach. The Bucs made the playoffs in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 but had problems winning games under 40 degrees in temperature.

In 1997, the Tampa Bay Bucs made the playoffs as a Wildcard team. The Bucs (10-6) were the 4th seeded team that hosted a Wildcard against the 5th seeded Detroit Lions (9-7). The Bucs dominated the game on excellent throwing by Trent Dilfer who threw a TD pass to Horace Copeland and excellent running by Mike Alstott who ran for a TD as the Bucs defeated the Lions 20-10 to advance in a Divisional playoff game against the top seeded Green Bay Packers (13-3). The Bucs were a defensive team under head coach Tony Dungy but their defense could not stop Green Bay as the Packers routed the Bucs 21-7. Mike Alstott did run for a TD in a losing effort but Green Bay's D was too much for the Bucs. Despite the loss, the fans were optimistic about their team in Tampa, FL.

In 1999, the Tampa Bay Bucs (11-5) became the 2nd seed and getting a first round bye. The Bucs would host a Divisional playoff game against the 3rd seeded Washington Redskins (10-6). The game was dominated by defense and neither team did anything offensively in the first half. The Redskins led the Bucs 3-0 at halftime. In the start of the second half the Bucs kicked the football to Brian Mitchell and he ran on a kickoff return 100 yards for a TD for a 10-0 Redskins lead. The Redskins would score again to make it 13-0 with a field goal. Rookie Quarterback Shaun King led a rally when he handed the football off to Mike Alstott, who ran for a TD and when Shaun King fumbled and teammate running back Warrick Dunn ran for a big first down that help set up Shaun King's game winning TD pass to Johnny Davis as the Bucs rallied to beat the Redskins 14-13 to go on to face the top seeded St. Louis Rams (13-3) in a NFC Championship Game. The Bucs went on to lose that game 11-6. Although, the Bucs didn't win against the Rams and almost went to the Super Bowl, Tony Dungy was given a contract extension.

In 2000, the 6th seeded Tampa Bay Bucs (10-6) made the playoffs as a Wildcard team and played the 3rd seeded Philadelphia Eagles (10-6) in Veterans Stadium where the Eagles humiliated the Bucs 21-3.

In 2001, the 6th seeded Tampa Bay Bucs (9-7) played the 3rd seeded Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) in Veterans Stadium and the Eagles humiliated them even worse 31-9. After those 2 embarrassing playoff losses the Bucs decided to make a coaching change and fired Tony Dungy as head coach.

It all happened when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers got their 1st round bye and got the 2nd seed after winning the tie breaker defeating the Green Bay Packers to go (12-4). They would host a Divisional playoff game in Raymond James Stadium against the 4th seeded San Francisco 49ers (12-4) who came off a come from behind victory against the New York Giants thanks to Jeff Garcia and company. The Bucs D harassed Jeff Garcia by forcing 3 turnovers. The Bucs controlled the game scoring at will on excellent running by Mike Alstott who ran for 2 TD's and Brad Johnson threw 2 TD passes; 1 to Joe Jurevicious and 1 to Rickey Dudley. The 49ers never got on track as the Bucs D sacked Jeff Garcia 4 1/2 times and held them to 2 field goals. The Bucs were impressive in their 31-6 routing of the 49ers.

It was January 19, 2003 and the top seeded Philadelphia Eagles (12-4) hosted the NFC Championship Game against the 2nd seeded Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was a cold 27 degree weather in Veterans Stadium. The Vet is a hostile environment for any team that come to Philly to play the Eagles. This would be the last game played at the Vet since the Eagles would be moving to their new home Lincoln Financial Field. The Bucs and Eagles met 2 times in the NFC Wildcard playoffs and both times the Eagles have dominated the Bucs. The Bucs were hoping that things would change under their new coach Jon Gruden.

The game started off with the Eagles winning the coin toss and the Bucs kicking to Brian Mitchell. The Eagles appeared like they were going to dominate when Brian Mitchell had a big run to give the Eagles excellent field position. Duce Staley ran through the Bucs D for a TD to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead. The Eagles D held the Bucs to a field goal to make it a 7-3 lead. The Bucs never really panicked. Brad Johnson took advantage of the mismatches by throwing a short screen pass to Joe Jurevicious and he had a big run that helped set up Mike Alstott's TD run for a 10-7 Bucs lead. The Eagles tied the game up at 10 all with a field goal. The Bucs took the lead when Brad Johnson threw a TD pass to Keyshawn Johnson for a 17-10 Bucs halftime lead.

The second half was when the Bucs D dominated. They harassed Donovan McNabb with Ronde Barber and Simeon Rice coming with hard blitzes and tackles and that forced 3 fumbles, 1 by Simeon Rice and 2 by Ronde Barber where the Bucs took advantage of it and made it a 20-10 lead on the Eagles. The Eagles despite that had a chance of a comeback when Donovan McNabb brought them back and had a chance to score when it was 1st and goal at the Bucs 10 yard line. Donovan McNabb threw a costly interception that Ronde Barber ran back 95 yards for a touchdown. That iced the game for the Bucs and most importantly the Bucs finally beat the Eagles. The Bucs sent the Eagles their second loss in the NFC Championship Game with a 27-10 win and they were able to do it in a hostile environment to go on to their 1st time ever trip to the Super Bowl.

It had been 27 years since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached their first Super Bowl. They were a horrible team since they became a franchise in 1976. During that span they went to 2 Wildcard playoffs, 1 Divisional playoff Game, and 1 NFC Championship Game. It was January 26, 2003 and the Bucs top ranked Defense would face the Oakland Raiders (11-5) top ranked Offense. It was the Bucs first time that they had ever went to a Super Bowl under new coach Jon Gruden. The Raiders would go on to their fifth Super Bowl already have 3 rings under their new coach Bill Callahan. Jon Gruden would have a chance to face his former team. This is how Jon Gruden became the Bucs new head coach. Tony Dungy was fired as head coach of the Bucs when they got humiliated in the 2 Wildcard playoffs against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Bucs were looking for a new head coach.

Meanwhile, Jon Gruden and his friend Bruce Allen were going through problems with the Raiders owner Al Davis. Al Davis meddled every time Jon Gruden would try to make decisions that was best for the team. Bruce Allen saw how Al Davis would give Jon Gruden all of those short term contracts and how he pretty much looked over his shoulder to see what he was doing. On draft day with the advice of Bruce Allen, Jon Gruden asked Al Davis for a long term deal because he felt that he should get a contract extension. Al Davis had other plans. Al Davis decided to trade Jon Gruden to the Tampa Bay Bucs for 4 draft picks and 8 million dollars in cash and Bruce Allen came over from Oakland to Tampa Bay. This would prove to be one of the biggest mistakes Al Davis would make. Raiders fans have yet to remember any of the Super Bowl days because meddling owner Al Davis called all of the shots.

Super Bowl 37 took place in San Diego, CA where the Oakland Raiders were the home team and had home field advantage. The Bucs early turnover by Brad Johnson allowed the Raiders to take an early 3-0 lead on the Bucs on Charles Woodson's interception. The Bucs decided to go with their short screen pass play when Brad Johnson threw a screen to Joe Jurevicious and he had a big run and then Michael Pittman ran for a big gain and the Bucs tied the game at 3 all. The Bucs D was dominate, they forced a turnover on Dexter Jackson's interception of Rich Gannon's pass and made it a 6-3 lead. Then the Bucs quickly forced another turnover when Dexter Jackson intercepted Rich Gannon's pass again. It was 2nd and goal at the Raiders 5 yard line and Mike Alstott ran in for a TD to make it a 13-3 Bucs lead. The Raiders couldn't get anything going offensively because the Bucs stifling D harassed Rich Gannon. The Bucs took a 20-3 lead at halftime when Brad Johnson threw a TD pass to Keenon McCardell.

In the second half, the Bucs would continue to dominate when Brad Johnson threw a TD pass to Keenon McCardell to stretch the Bucs lead to 27-3. The Bucs would score again to make it 34-3 over the Raiders when Dwight Smith intercepted Rich Gannon's pass. Somehow the Raiders would make a game of it despite being down so big. When Rich Gannon threw a TD pass to Jerry Porter that looked like an incomplete pass because he didn't have control of the football; the ref decided that the call will stand and that it was a catch to cut the Bucs lead to 34-9. The Bucs would then go 3 and out on their possession and was forced to punt. Tom Tupa had his punt blocked and the Raiders would score on excellent special teams play to cut the Bucs lead to 34-15. The Raiders would score again when Rich Gannon threw a TD pass to Jerry Rice to cut the Bucs lead to 34-21. The Bucs never panicked. The Bucs D came up big all night forcing turnovers. Derrick Brooks made a big interception to make it 41-21 and Dwight Smith's interception iced the game for the Bucs. The Bucs routed the Raiders 48-21 to take home the Super Bowl trophy. Dexter Jackson was the Bucs Super Bowl MVP and Jon Gruden was the youngest coach at age 39 to win a Super Bowl.
