Finding A Church Home

It's vital to find a church to call home.

I'm thinking & often wondering Lord where is a good church home in the Greater Hartford area. The truth is that the reason why it does not seem like there's any good churches in the area is because of the agenda in a lot of different churches. What I mean by agenda is that are a lot of churches that are recruiting members and the different churches that are recruiting is focusing on filling positions. Also, what is sad is the jealousy among fellow Christians and the attitude seem to be "all about me." My mom referred to it as "Big I's and little U's." Me and my mom have been praying for a good church home in the Greater Hartford area for the past 20 years (since I graduated high school). The only good word church that resembles feeling like being a church home is church on TV and church on the radio. I really enjoy the preaching of Ron Carpenter and Bible discussion on "Give Me An Answer" from Cliffe Knechtle on TV. A lot of churches that are not growing spiritually emphasis, "You come when you want to" and where playing church is some kind of entertainment for visitors who visit. I remember how church was not at all like that in the 80's and 90's. The people were all about praising the Lord, hearing a good word, and alter calls for those who wanted to give their life to Jesus Christ. When you are remembering how things used to be and wish that things were like they used to be because things are no where like that now, then we know that "we are in the last days." There are a lot of people who have stories where the Lord relocated them to a good word church because they couldn't find a good word church in their state. Sadly, the word churches seem to be out of state where some are commuting from where they are from to go out of state to church. All we can do as Christians is pray and even ask around the different ministries that we are part of where is a good word church.
