I remember how bad I wanted a regular Nintendo & saved up money for one since I was 11. I remember I went to private school and I was 13 1/2. My fellow classmates noticed how every time I bought lunch that I would save the change that I had left over towards purchasing the regular Nintendo. Most of my classmates had money and I didn't realize how much money that they had until they planned a surprise early birthday party for me. My classmates observed how I would save dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies (yes I saved pennies even though they were nothing to most of my classmates). The different fellow classmates would ask me "What would you do if you had a Nintendo and some cartridges?" At that time, I would do anything from working for the Nintendo or being a big help in any way that I can (honestly some things never change). I told the different classmates how excited I would be and I said that I would enjoy it and be grateful to have the Nintendo and cartridges. Well, on December of 1991, yes this was exactly 3 months before my 14th birthday my fellow classmates threw me a wonderful early surprise birthday party. You want to talk about something that I wasn't expecting, there was food, the Nintendo (which was given to me as a gift), and 4 cartridges. I was so surprised, excited, and grateful at the same time. Even my teacher was in on the surprise party, I tell you I still remember that surprise early birthday that I had 'till this day.

I will never forgot how my fellow classmates chipped in along with the teacher to throw me a surprise early birthday party. I will never forget what my fellow classmate said to me. Aly a red head girl said, "Paul I want you to promise that you won't save up money anymore because you have a Nintendo now." I remember telling Aly that I promise and I was so grateful that she did this for me. That was one of my favorite flashback experiences.
